Medical Emergencies in the Dental Office

Course Description:

Each year, up to 44% of all Dental Offices experience at least one serious medical emergency. These can range from angina to anaphylaxis. While you can’t choose the time, place, or type of emergency that will occur in your office, you can choose to be prepared. Because it’s not just a matter of if an emergency will happen…it’s a matter of when.

Learning Objectives:

At the end of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the most common medical emergencies that occur in dental offices
  • Understand proven algorithms that can be used to treat those emergencies
  • Know the proper drugs and equipment that should be used in those emergencies
